High Purity Heating and Cooling Immersion PTFE Heat Exchanger With PFA Tubing
PVDF/PFA heat exchangers provide versatile solutions for heating, cooling, and temperature control of fluids in ultra-pure manufacturing processes. These units are particularly effective for handling deionized water, solvents, and Piranha/SC1 solutions.
Available as standalone heat exchangers or integrated heating/cooling systems, these units offer power ratings from 2-5 kW and operate at voltages of 200-480 VAC (1-phase). Maximum operating temperatures reach 95°C (203°F) for the shell and 180°C (356°F) for the tubes.
Design and Operation
Universal heat exchangers address the need for uniform temperature control in chemical baths containing various substances. The basic configuration consists of:
  • Two adaptors connected by multiple tube lengths
  • Round adaptor blocks with precisely drilled holes to secure tube ends
  • A pumping system that circulates fluid through the tubes
The submerged tubes (often several meters long) facilitate heat transfer between the bath chemicals and the internal fluid. Performance factors include:
  • Tube dimensions (length, diameter, quantity) determining fluid capacity
  • Tube wall thickness affecting heat transfer efficiency
Our PTFE (Teflon) heat exchangers feature both adaptors and tubes constructed from pure virgin PTFE for maximum chemical resistance and purity.
